I don't even know how to tell people, I told you soo on this one because frankly I don't know the proper name for these tights none the less they are everywhere. I've always loved sheer black tights, something about them is so sexy in a bit of a trashy way. Now these classics are getting a updated touch, sheer tights with opaque speckles which a little bit of girlish innocence. Tommy Ton recently snapped pictures of ladies donning Louboutin booties and stylish speckle clad ankles. The runway of Collette Dinnigan showed off the trend. And American Apparel seems to be picking up on it as well, their cute calf-highs are right on the mark and a welcome change, after all how many pairs of butt-less tights can one girl own.

I thought this would be the most appropriate I told you soo to follow KIDS. Afterall I'm pretty sure a baby bump is the first step to getting a little kiddy. And it's a great excuse if you just want to show of your ponch. Jak & Jil photographer Tommy Ton snapped many a gorgeous picture of beautiful fashionistas showings off their bumps during Paris Fashion Week. It's probably the only time in these women's lives when they will be wearing clothing to draw attention to the fattest part of their bodies. Models are also hopping on the band wagon. Our favourite model/tv hostess Heidi Klum just gave birth last week to a little baby girl, and in the nine months prior she didn't miss a moment to display her bump. Two other Victoria Secret alums Karolina Kurkova and Adriana Lima were seen rubbing each others bellies, and not just to compare the smoothness of their model perfect skin. So if you're planning to get pregnant sometime soon or just happen to gain a few extra pounds it's definitely the right time to do it.

Chic kids? The sticky, whiny and generally unstylish children that were hidden in playrooms until they were old enough to start wearing designer duds, are making their presence felt. With the introduction of high end kiddy fashion like Stella McCartney's mini clothing line for the GAP, these children can be just as stylish as their older counter parts. This may be why kids are showing up all over the place. Tavi Gevinson the 13 year old super blogger was been spotted at many a fashion show in Paris this past season. Asia Zahm is becoming as well know as her papa (Purple co-founder Olivier Zahm), and she's so much cuter to look at. Even The Sartorialist can sense the children are our fashion future letting his daughter take the reins and photograph on occasion. So not be childish or anything but, I told you soo.

I don't really know if I can make this an I told you soo but it seems like D.I.Y. projects are popping up everywhere and I really should have posted about it months ago. A friend and I are constantly going through stores saying how we could make half of the stuff they sell for half the price, (think those $30 feather headbands sold at Urban Outfitters). Then the other day we had a thought, why not blog about it! It's genious! Well yes it is; and that's why there are plenty of other people who have already thought of it. Blogs like P.S. I made this and Wotton Cool showcase amazing D.I.Y. projects. Sadly D.I.Y. always seems to get a bad wrap. Picture do it your self, and picture deseveled looking women wearing sweatshirts with rhinestones glued to them. With the recession still upon us I think we should all try a little D.I.Y. and prove the stereotype wrong, while saving money.

So i told you soo has been out of commission for a while, but I'm bringing it back I swear. Cat's and women seem to have a unfortunately negative association. Either you're a catty bitch...or even worse you're a cat lady. Being catty is always the preferable choice, but it seems like recently crazy cat lady isn't as bad as it seems. We all remember a few months ago when Vogue had a spread that featured the stylish side of cats. Creative Director Grace Coddington apparently saw this trend coming far in advance of the the people at paris fashion week. Cat's have been popping up everywhere. Mui Mui's Spring 2010 Show featured prints with cats all over them. However if your going to be a cat lady I feel like the real deal is so much better. Thank god for United Bamboo, they've brought out a calendar featuring mini cat sized outfits so you can dress to match your cat. Since the clothes are beautiful I think it's totally acceptable to dress like your fluffy friend. So next time you see a crazy cat women running down the street screaming "I told you soo!" look twice to see if she's wearing Spring 2010 Mui Mui.

I thought this eye patch trend may have been a figment of my imagination but apparently it's not. Just last weekend I was browsing through the president day sales at Henri Blendel and I overheard two sales women talking about eye patches as an accessory. Needles to say I wanted to run over to them and scream I told you soo. I kept my cool though and we had a great conversation about eye patches following in the great line of the "it bag" and the "it shoe". It's been popping up since the 70's, Rhianna and Heidi Klum have clearly caught on to the trend, coordinating their patches with their ensembles. And just recently i-D magazine adorned cover girl Eniko Mihalik with a beautiful bejeweled piece of eye bling. So next time you accidentily spray your new perfume in your eye don't fret you can be the first to break out this new trend.

Have you ever been in one of those situations where you can't decide if that guy at the bar has the good looks of a girl or that girl at the bar has the sharp masculine features of a man, but either way he/she is really hot. Well that confused feeling is nothing to worry about now, because it seems to be a trend. Bowie really holds I told you soo rights on this one. After all, women and men have been confused by him for quiet some time now. He pulls off the makeup so well. Agyness Dean even seems to be taking some cues from him. She totally resembles 1980's David Bowie. However if your not brave enough to chop off all your hair and start getting mistaken as a guy for fashion's sake maybe it's easier to go route of dressing the part. Rag & Bone's Spring 2009 collection has great suits that will make you resemble some very fashionable men. Coco Rocha's blue suit practically makes her Mark Ronson's twin while still maintaining her supermodel femininity. This means more clothing options for everyone .... maybe even some more men in skirts.

HARLEQUIN & JESTER CHIC

So according to Style.com Harlequin Patterns are in. I can't say that I have anything remotely close to harlequin patterns in my closet. Lots of flower patterns, some paisley an animal print here or there, but nothing that would make me resemble a mime or one of the characters from Alice in Wonderland. However there is one small little bit of this trend that I am totally excited about 2 tone tights. I saw a girl wearing them last winter (she made them herself by cutting off the one leg of two different colour tights, cool idea but I feel like bathroom visits might get a little tricky.) This girl definitely has I told you soo rights because these two toned tights are everywhere. Chanel has an amazing pair but, if you can spend hundreds of dollars on your tights because you will probably rip them you can get a similar look from AA for way less. There are also some pretty cool harlequin inspired accessories out there. The key though is not going over the top or you will look like a drama camp kid but, older and sadder.

GREY NAILS

First it was black then navy and trust me the new nail colour this fall will be grey. It's seriously hard to find, even finding images of people wearing this colour was difficult, but just trust me it's in. NYT just published an article on the importance of nails apparently the feet and hands are now just as important as the face. I definitely saw some grey nails in the slide show that goes along with this article. So if you can't find any grey nail polish but are dying to wear it before everyone else so you can tell them "I told you so". There are a couple options.

1. Frantically search it out on E-bay you can seriously buy anything on E-Bay.

2. Why not put your old black nail polish to good use mix it with some white and voila instant grey.

3. Use a grey paint marker. Sounds weird yes but it will totally work and it's way easier to apply than normal nail polish.

SOCKS & PUMPS

I've never got those people who go sock-less in the middle of winter in order to wear their favourite pair of pumps. I'm a huge advocate of socks with pumps. It's so hot, figuratively and literally (No more frost bite!). And it gives you a chance to put those weird socks you've got for years from your great aunt to use. If I can't tell you so, let Scott Schuman do it. He spotted all these ladies looking great in their socks at NY Fashion Week.

Disney has really always been on the ball when it comes to trends. Look at Lindsay they knew she would be big ever since the parent trap days. Since most of my child hood was spent watching the great D isney movies not any of the weird ones that come out now-a-days (who and what are Lilo & Stitch), I feel like the movies have influenced my look. That mickey mouse ear look was definitely a mistake however. I'm so happy that Marc finally caught on to this hidden style maven and is telling everyone soo in his Spring 2009 collection. It's soo Mary Poppins. So get ready to wear lots of crazy floor length dresses, great crazy and hats and sweep the odd chimney or two.

Ever since 1986 and the first showing of Labyrinth I've loved thick eyebrows. Jennifer Connelly's acting wouldn't have been nearly as good in that movie if she didn't have those expressive eyebrows of hers and Bjrok wouldn't seem nearly as crazy without hers. It's like eyebrows emphasize any emotion your trying to express. Even famously expressionless models seem to have a little bit more emotion in their faces (they could just be smiling with their eyes though...tyra has taught them well.) So if you weren't blessed with rocking eyebrows I would rush out and buy an eyebrow pencil stat or go on E-bay and try and search for some of Connelly's pluckings.

BRAIDS

I can just picture Carrie Fisher laughing and muttering I told you so as she watches herself in Star Wars being shown on TBS (way too many times in one month). The Princess Laya braids that once were only worn to impress nerd boys are all over the place, and they look awesome. Even politicians are noticing the trend. Yullia Tymoshenko knows the power of the braid, you know she was the most popular girl in her class because she was always rocking cool hairstyles and maybe even styling the hair of a select friend or two. I bet she used the same tactics (good looks & favours) to win the election. If you don't know how to braid I would learn ASAP, apparently even LC braids her own hair.

OVER PRICED MAGAZINE$

I am a huge fan of overpriced magazines. For some reason paying $14 for a magazine gives me a little adrenalin rush. British Vogue at $10.95 a pop always seems to be a bit better then it's American counter part that sells for a mere $4.95. When I travel suddenly a cheap magazine seems exotic and cool because of it's exaggerated price tag. Nylon might be easy to come by here, but is quite the find in Italy. The $10-$20 price bracket isn't getting me going these days however. Thank god then for Visionaire, whose issues are super pricey and like little art pieces. This magazine (if you can even call it that) totally pulled an i told you soo, they are selling their issues for as much as $750. So no more free magazines ( ie. Vice), I think the old saying how good can the milk be if the cow is selling it for free really applies. $750 milk tastes allot better then the free stuff.

TROUSERS

I never really understood the idea of the "boyfriend jean". Who wants to wear those ugly wide leg things with indistinguishable stain on them. Most importantly should you and your boyfriend really be able to fit into each others clothing? That said the pleated trouser pant that might have been worn by one of your physics teachers, is the new "boyfriend pant" (not that you would have ever dated the physics teacher.) I won't say I told you so, but if the physics teacher was here I'm sure he/she would site some mathematical equation about everything returning to it's original state which basically means it's coming back into style.

Did you ever feel like you hit your peak at 15? Well apparently you should because teen's are the new 20 somethings. Miley and Zac are the new Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle except they're actually in highschool. So even though I probably told you so in highschool, that 15 would be the best year of your life, if you are looking to get back to your youth here are a few suggestions:

1. Get a really obvious fake id (Not getting let into a bar is the ultimate way to look young. Cross your fingers you get IDed.)

CARDIGANS

Maybe they remind me of my youth, after all no school uniform is complete without one, but cardigans are definitely a staple this fall. Mr. Rogers loved them and I told you so should you. Cardigans make everything warmer and every outfit a little more work appropriate. An over-sized cardigan with some pretty tights and hot shoes and nothing else can still make a super sexy outfit.

I think this has always been a trend. However it seems like more, and more, people are taking advantage of their famous parent's status. There is no better way to get on the red carpet (with Demi) or get invited to a fashion show (with Anna) then going with your famous parent. That said, famous parents seem hard to come by these days. So does Topshop, they have a bunch of cute ones but they use the british lingo and call them Playsuits. Playsuits are appropriate for every occasion in my opinion. So Canada has always been a bit behind when it comes to getting the latest energy drinks. Remember the wait for Redbull. So you can imagine how excited I was when I spotted a Vitamin Water vending machine at Walmart (don't ask me why I was there.) Vitamin water is like a miracle healing tool, it will cure even the stronger hang over. Be careful though because it's not really water, like one may think, it actually has a bunch of calories.
